Immigration & Asylum

UK Immigration law and practice are complex and constantly changing. It can be hard to work out what the UKBA require for a successful application, be it made in the UK or from abroad. A refusal can have devastating consequences – from having to leave the UK to being prohibited from return for a period of time. Appealing against any refusal can be costly, slow and complicated.

Our Department is highly respected and has for many years been listed as a leader in the Chambers and Partners directory. Although best known for our human rights and asylum work (including family and spouse/civil partner or unmarried partner applications) we are able to provide high level advice to individuals on applications under the Points-Based System, on all aspects of entry clearance to the UK/visas and on any issues regarding European citizens, such as residence permits. We also have extensive experience in deportation matters.

Our team’s knowledge and understanding ensures that the best advice is available to you. We will not only be able to inform you about all of the options available, but will work with you every step of the way to ensure that your matter is presented to the highest standard. We will tailor our service to your needs, whether that is for a single consultation meeting (only £130 (+VAT) for an hour), a fixed fee application or for a bespoke service. Members of the department will undertake advocacy in appropriate appeals or alternatively we will work with the best barristers to secure you the best possible result.
