Disputes involving childrenWe can help ensure children's care and well-being at times when they are most vulnerable, such as when their parents separate. If there is a dispute over who the children should live with, or how frequently and under what conditions the other parent should see or have the children to stay, we can make an application to court. We will make sure you understand how your case would be decided and what will happen, so you know what to expect at each step of the way.
You can also seek our advice in areas such as clarifying a child's paternity, disputes about the child's education, medical treatment or change of name. Initially, we will attempt to negotiate a settlement or use mediation. Only if all else fails, will we recommend court action. If a child has been abducted, we can provide rapid court action to ensure their return, and take urgent steps to protect the child. |
